Photo Essay: The Many Colors of Uluru

In Australia, Northern Territory by KatelynLeave a Comment

[img] Uluru photosMy Australian bucket list has grown immensely over the past few months since I started living here. From diving the Great Barrier Reef to driving the Great Ocean Road, my list now includes things like cage diving with Great White Sharks in South Australia, trekking the Tasmania Overland Trek, and holding a baby kangaroo. I’d add kidnapping a baby kangaroo too, but I’m sure that would get me into a world of trouble.

One place that has always topped my Aussie bucket list was seeing Uluru with my own eyes. I’ve seen a multitude of photographs over the years. After I finished working on horse farms for four months and headed home for three weeks, Alice Springs and Uluru were the first places I wanted to go to see the “real” Australia.

Uluru is everything I thought it would be and more. My tour with Mulgas Adventures allowed me to see Uluru in many different lights; it was incredible. I will admit, Kings Canyon is my favorite, but Uluru is a close second. You just can’t beat Uluru at sunrise. Take a look at a few of my favorite Uluru photos!
