As a solo budget traveler, I almost always stay in budget accommodations, which generally means hostels, Couchsurfing, and crashing with friends. One of my favorite types of places to stay while I travel are hostels.
Hostels are cheaper than other options, an excellent way to meet other travelers, and also a place to get local advice from staff that tends to be a similar age and lifestyle as you. The downfall with hostels is sometimes you never know what you’ve booked until you get there. Some hostels are absolutely fantastic with free organized activities, a free hearty breakfast, and clean facilities. Other times you may end up in a rat hole.
This page is aimed at providing you helpful information and honest reviews of the hostels I have personally stayed at around the world.
